Other than that, the weapons basically hit people with a Super Sledge, shoot people with Chinese Assault Rifles, blow people to shreds with your Fat Man, incinerate with the Laser Rifle, and tease people with a BB gun. IRON SIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the past games, you simply zoomed in when you don’t have a sniper rifle. The combat is basically the same in both, but New Vegas, you have Iron Sights.
The first thing to think is the overall gameplay.
Even with all of this, Fallout New Vegas is a bit better. In both games, you can either follow the story like your true story, or you can be like me, a person who hoards things, goes to the store to sell a shotgun, high-tech armor, and human flesh, takes EVERYTHING that fits into your characters pockets ( and you can carry 10 miniguns and still carry more junk), and get companions to help in your endless love for conquest and pillaging. A courier who was shot in the head, and is now seeking revenge after being nursed back to health by Doc Mitchell. In Fallout: New Vegas, you are The Courier.
In Fallout 3, you play as the Lone Wanderer, a 19 year old teen that is in search of his father who escaped Vault 101, an underground vault meant for holding 1000 people. The two games are first person or third person RPG action shooter placed in the Wasteland of America after a fallout. This is just why I think it is just slightly better. The game Fallout New Vegas is the next game in succession to Fallout 3.
